What is Home Staging?	Home Staging is the process of making a house buyer-friendly.  This is done by reducing clutter, highlighting a home's best features, neutralizing colors, and seeing a home from the buyer's perspective.  Staging makes it possible for more people to have an emotional attachment to the house - which in turn will help bring in more offers! Simply Redesigned likes to Bring out the Best in your Home by using what you own to make your home look its best when selling.  I like to be Eco-friendly and budget-friendly and provide an inviting home by redesigning the space to look its best.  I do not rent out furniture or accessories, but at times will recommend some items that can be purchased and used in your next home.
What are the benefits of Home Staging?	Staged homes present better during showings and on-line which will attract a larger percentage of potential buyers.  With such a positive response from buyers, these properties tend to spend less time on the market and can usually avoid price reductions because of their home's appearance justifying the asking price.  Even in this type of economy, properly preparing a home gives you an advantage over the competition by creating a connection with buyers that may have otherwise been lost due to not preparing a home as a product to be sold.
What is the difference between Interior Redesigning and interior decorating?	Interior Redesigning uses what people already own compared to buying new items with interior decorating.  All it takes is a fresh look at your space to bring new life into it, while also being Eco-friendly and budget-friendly!
How much does it cost?	The cost for services are listed on the Home Staging and Interior Redesign pages.    The following are some examples of total project costs:   Staging Consultation To get the most out of staging the home needs to be looked at as a total package.  A consultation will give the homeowner the direction needed to prepare their home. TOTAL COST for an average size home:  $75     Staging Consultation & Staging (some work done by homeowner) We start with a consultation to identify what needs to be done with the home.  With a homeowner planning to do some of the work themselves, a half-day of staging is requested. TOTAL COST for an average size home:  $300     Staging Consultation & Staging (all work done by Simply Redesigned) We start with a consultation to identify what will need to be done to prepare the home to sell.  After the consultation a full-day of staging is set-up using what the homeowner already owns. TOTAL COST for an average size home:  $525     *As you can see, properly preparing your home is A LOT less than a price reduction!     Simple Redesign We discuss the room on the phone and set-up and appointment for the redesign of the space.  It will usually take less than three hours to have a great new space. TOTAL COST:  $125     Interior Redesign (with paint color recommendations) We start with a consultation to set-up a plan for the redesign.  We discuss which paint colors and the type of paint along with tips on how to do a good paint job.  Then a day is set-up for after the painting is done to complete the redesign. How long does it take to do an interior redesign?	A typical room takes around 3-5 hours.  If you request paint recommendations, the painting will need to be done before the remainder of the redesign can be started.
Do I need to be home?	This is completely up to you.  I do work quicker when not distracted, so it would be best if I had the room to myself to work in, but it is fine that you stay in your home during the redesign.  If this is a project including de-cluttering, I will need you to be available to work with during the redesign.
How should I choose the services I need?	If you are unsure which service is right for you, check out my contact page and either email me or call me so that we can discuss what options would be best. For selling your home it is important that your home is looked at as a product to be sold.  It does not make sense to have one or two rooms look good and the rest ignored.  During a Staging Consultation we will look at every space in the home.  The consultation will give you all the ideas that you will need to do-it-yourself.  If you want a few choice rooms to be done for you, while you work on the rest, then choose either a half-day or full-day of Home Staging.  If you need help preparing for an open house that is coming up soon, then choose Open House Staging to have help getting ready for that important showing!     If you are looking to have your furniture rearranged in a room, but do not need to discuss paint color, then a Simple Redesign is the service for you.  If you need to discuss paint color, then a Redesign Consultation is the service that would offer that.  An Interior Redesign is when Simply Redesigned will come and do what we discussed during the consultation.  If painting is needed after the consultation, then when that is done I will continue with the redesign!
What hours are available for appointments?	Hours are flexible and will depend on the project size. An appointment can be made to work with your schedule: weekdays, weeknights or weekends - we will make it work!
