Redesign is a great choice!

"Here's how home sellers can create buzz and move their listing"
Finishing repairs, freshening paint, clearing clutter and staging the home for a wide range of potential
buyers has become increasingly important in this tough sellers market. The superficial condition of the home reveals
how well it's been taken care of by the seller. O'Connor says her members report some 20% of listings being
professionally staged versus 5% a few years ago. "It doesn't cost a fortune," she said. "Consider it like
getting your car detailed." Pam O'Connor, president and CEO of Chicago-based Leading Real Estate Companies, a trade group for independent
real estate agencies.
"A redesigner might
save you plenty on your redecorating project"
Handing over a home to an objective
outsider for a few hours may save thousands of dollars otherwise spent on new furniture and accessories. As trained redesigners
mix and match items from several spots in the house, group accessories for impact and rehang artwork, clients
are reintroduced to underutilized spaces and their nearly forgotten possessions long relegated to storage. Others learn that limiting display items to a few favorites or rotating accessories is an effective fix.

1. Failing to Showcase Your Home and Make Small Cosmetic
Changes When you are selling your house, you have to really look at it objectively and think about it from the
viewpoint of the house hunter. Make minor enhancements to the house and maybe hire a professional stager to
come and arrange your furniture. Staging is about decorating your house for the buyers' taste, not yours. A great place
to start is with the front of the home and the main entryway. Home staging is designed to increase the potential selling price
and reduce the amount of time the house stays on the market.
